While I was looking on Breckland Council's map at the proposed G&T sites, I noticed that one of their options for their Distributor Road from Bunns Bank Industrial Site to the A11 comes across into Spooner Row and Suton. If this is the option they choose, a road such as this will cut through our villages. It will have a dramatic affect on the quality of people's lives and property values. We come under South Norfolk Council area NOT Breckland. WHY ARE WE NOT BEING INFORMED OF THIS BY SOUTH NORFOLK COUNCIL?!
Breckland Council's map is very distorted and is not drawn to scale which makes it VERY difficult to work out exactly what roads the proposed Distributor Road and G&T sites affect - try and compare it with a "real" map. They have clearly missed off London Road and Golf Links Road and the roundabout on their map, which is misleading.
In addition, a substantial chunk of the area that Breckland Council have put forward for the proposed G&T site (the one nearest us) is in South Norfolk! What is going on?
I went to the drop-in about this. Potentially it could be good news for us as it would be a preferable HGV route for most of the traffic that currently uses Station Rd & Bunwell Rd. Whether it would cause our roads to be de-designated HGV route is perhaps optimistic, but we can always hope.
This is essentially totally separate from the G&T site issue.
