Has anyone else been effected by someone knocking on their door and running away in the early evenings? Several times this is happened now and tonight we saw a couple of boys further down the street so not sure if it was them. It is very disturbing when I'm in the house by myself.
Have not experienced this, but will keep an eye out. Hopefully just young kids being silly, but worth checking into. Agree that it is worth letting the police know so that they are aware.
probably the usual ones were round mine saturday night i do know them shame they havent got anything else to do than annoy others.. thing is their parents think they are little angels rather than supposedly young adults who should know better!!!!
This has been affecting a number of homes for quite some while. Presumably all these youngsters live here in the village so we need the parents ..... who are our friends and neighbours ..... to step up to the plate and teach their children what is and isn't acceptable behaviour, especially when some people seem to be targeted by this harassment more than others.
For people who may be home alone when it happens, especially later in the evening when it's dark, it can be particularly alarming.
I'd suggest that if anyone is able to get a photo of the culprits (even their departing rear views) with a digital camera or phone this can then be passed to the Police.
from who i saw on saturday they mostly live beyond the train line apart from one. I take it was them who put the graffitti on one of the highways signs too
The Police have been informed of this. They know who the culprits are and are waiting to catch them in the act! If anyone knows who they are the decent thing would be to 'name and shame' them? It is very disturbing for the elderly and people living alone.
In my day it was called 'knock down ginger'. If caught, the culprits got a 'clip round the ear' from either the householder or the local constable without fear of repercussions. How this world has changed!
