There are two planning issues in Spooner Row at the moment.
1.J Alston and Sons Ltd have submitted a planning application number 2012/1806 for 13 units at Chapel Road and 20 at Bunwell Road, Spooner Row to South Norfolk Council and it is now on the Council's web site.
You will recall that they held a consultation meeting in the village hall in July and there were proposals to support both the village hall and primary school by way of financial contributions.
2. Those of you that attended the South Norfolk Consultation (SNC)session at the Central Hall on thursday 11th October will know that South Norfolk are consulting on their Preferred Options for development.
Policy 15 of the Joint Core Strategy identifies Spooner Row as a Service Village in which land will be allocated for small scale housing growth within the range of 10 - 20 dwellings subject to form, character and servicing constraints. Spooner Row is also in the Norwich Policy Area (NPA)and may be considered for additional development, if necessary , to help deliver the smaller sites in the NPA.
SNC are consulting on allocating 10 - 20 dwellings.
