Last year, one of the signalmen told me that it was destined for the garden of one of the top men at Network Rail (or was it Greater Anglia?), who started his career at Spooner Row. Don't know if that is still the case now. It would be good if it could be retained in the village in the same way that Attleborough is going to retain its one. Perhaps it could be used as a future Spooner Row parish council facility!
On the News, they have given many signal boxes throughout the country grade II listed status. Does anyone know if ours could be granted this also? Its an attractive and historic feature of Spooner Row and it would be nice to keep it so. Wymondham South signal box has been included and so has Thetford. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23451290
