Hi, has anyone here experienced a slowdown of BT broadband and numerous disconnects these last few days?

I am in the process of takling the issue with BT but just wondered if it's a village wide problem.

Thanks

Hi Toby,

I have BT broadband and it has been very slow at times over the last few days, occasionally its unusable.

Mine is now up to 2.3mbps so I would assume that they have made some changes at the exchange and the drop outs you have been getting are due to the line settling down.

BTW, the 2mbps is the statutory minimum as previously described as being what BT and NCC signed up to.

2.3mbps, well I would love to see this - I am getting 1.02 on Chapel Road.  Where are you to get 2.3?

We are having terrible problems with Broadband and BT just don't want to know about it and have no alternative to offer us, they basically have told us there is nothing they can offer us to improve broadband because it is so dreadful.

I don't know if you are aware but our local MP George Freeman is running a seminar on rural broadbands this friday (17th) at Barn Ruche, Thetford Road, Watton.  You need to go on his website to book a place, but my husband is going and there are 4 companies in attendance who can hopefully offer us a real alternative to BT!
