Is there really any need for cars to park half on the road/half on the path? Do they really think that if they park on the path then the cars can pass freely? It causes as much disruption as a car ppm the road and at least it leaves the paths free for urge school children and dog walkers!
Totally agree this is a real pain along Station Road . There must be a safety issue here as children have pass these cars on their way to school , also other people have to use the paths during other times which on occasions mean that you have to walk in the road . Does anyone know if the police can issue a notice to the houses in Station Road advising that parking is not permitted on pathways?
Obstruction of the highway which includes the path is an offence I would suggest that this an issue which a community support officer could address initially informally Try ringing the Police on non urgent number 101
When the parents drop of their kids at school in the mornings and picking them up in the afternoon, they parked on the corner of School Lane, and they block the view of the road coming from the station way. Perhaps people should think about that before moaning about one or two cetain cars. Anyway there is still enough path to walk past.
I am a dog walker and i have walked past these vehicles that you people like having a moan about, and there was enough room to walk on the path so why would you want to walk on the road. Good on you if you are one who walks your kids to school, instead of blocking the road down School Lane.
