There is a new planning application at 2 Cantley Villas for two semi-detached dwellings - I guess the existing planning application for 7 dwellings is still current??
Does this mean that there will effectively be 9 properties now with cars accessing and exiting within a short distance of each other, and almost opposite School Lane ?
I spoke against this application but was barred from the vote as I had previous to the meeting, submitted a comment to SNDC. A mistake I will not make again but it made no difference as the application was passed by the majority anyway.
It would appear that the local plan and the national planning policy framework and sustainability, to say nothing of common sense, are dead in the water at least as far as certain factions in WTC are concerned.
We are still allocated 10-20 houses under the Local Plan's site allocations but the total has been made up to 43 to include Spooner Row's share of the 'floating 1800'. We were told at the Examinaion that the recent planning consents in Spooner Row contribute to South Norfolk's 'floating 1800'. This revelation has come late in the day!
The document explaining our 'floating 1800' allocation is dated 22 Oct 2014 on the Council's Local Plan Examination website. Scroll down to near the end and look for document called E2: http://www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/planning/6681.asp
