When I moved to SR I had problems with the signal being too strong, so I installed a resistor thing in the loft which essentially reduces the signal strength.
Makes sense when you consider how close the transmitter is. Alternatively I have been ripped off for a few quid and it was fine all along, but it definitely works fine now.
