The Notice of Council Tax 2016/2017 in last Friday's EDP was indeed a shock horror. As Spooner Row comes under Wymondham, this almost equates with the likes of Loddon, Cringleford, Ditchingham, Long Stratton. Perhaps it is our bus and train services which gives us this hallowed status or am I missing something here? The services of the Town Council must be spread pretty thinly, taking in Suton and Wattlefield as well. Will the children envisaged for the new homes in the village be assured of school places here ?
Considering what this village receives in terms of positive council services, we are being sold short. I was surprised by the amount of council tax increase I have for the new tax year. As for the new homes having school places available, I understand the school already operates at near and full capacity, no provision has been made to cater for the increase in numbers.
