please see the attached I know it says Wymondham but I am convinced this is Spooner row and exactly as passed to me . A nice small diversion and I have queried it with County!!
NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C140 Station Road from the junction with U78284 School Lane, for approximately 122 metres southwards in the TOWN OF WYMONDHAM because of trail hole works.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 25th July 2016 to 17th August 2016 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 18 days within the period.
Alternative route is via: C140 Station Road/Chapel Road/Wymondham Road/Suton Lane, B1172 London Road/Station Road, C140 Station Road.
The reason for the road closure was for new drainage to Station Road from the school to the level crossing . When Network Rail put in the new barriers they blocked off the station road drain outlet therefore causing the road to flood . I have been battling for 3 years with NWR and the Highways dept to get this sorted . They were due to start on 25th July but at 11th hour found out that there are other services in the road that they had not bargained on so the cost escalated and the project postponed . I understand the plans were drawn up for this work in Dec 2015 so to make this discovery now is crazy. The jist of it is NWR blocked the drain outlet , NWR are not prepared to rectify it , the Highways dept ( but us tax payer really ) have to pick up cost to sort it all out but did not plan the solution properly so may go back to the drawing board and we are left with a flooded road / garden every time it rains !! I battle on
