The event was a charity metal detecting weekend organised by the Wymondham Rotary Club. The people taking part paid £50 each to participate and all of the money raised goes to charity. The charities that will benefit are EACH, Star Throwers and Break. The fields they detected on were well away from the village and this has nothing to do with development and laying concrete - simply people enjoying their hobby, finding historical artifacts all of which are properly recorded and raising money for charity at the same time.
