It's a pity that there isn't one on Bunwell Road; I had a terrifying experience this evening as I was travelling along the footpath on my electric scooter, just past the chicane. A black 4x4 mounted the footpath JUST in front of me and stopped. I had a 'high vis' jacket on, white hood, 2 red back lights; one flashing, and 3 front lights on the scooter. The reason for almost hitting me was that the driver needed to pick someone up who was waiting on the other side of the road.............. I don't know whether the driver even saw me as the car didn't move off for a while despite my shouting as loud as I could. When I got to the Church for the meeting, the other people there were also incensed by the stupidity of the driver's actions. When are WE going to get a camera on Bunwell Road so that such idiots can be prosecuted.
I know that I may not lash out at the vehicle with anything other than my voice but I was sorely tempted to throw my torch at it.!!
Is it me or do not other people out there think that a full and open reason for this installation , its role and purpose would be good rather than anon posts and guesses ?
Yes, it would be helpful to have a full and open reason for it, but any explanation or information for anything that affects those in Spooner Row is near impossible. Is seems like the plebs need to shut-up and put-up and be grateful for being kept in the dark
I have today been advised that it is part of a Police Enforcement initiative and have been told that any further details will NOT be provided as it could compromise the outcome.
May I suggest Web station that in consequence this matter be closed
