We have a problem with something interfering with our wireless broadband signals, mainly in the evenings. (I believe this is effecting others as well) At it's worst it is making our broadband unusable, something which I thought we had seen the back of since the switch from BT.
Thinking Wisp are on the case and trying to work out where the source is, but does anyone know of anything that has gone up in the Chapel Road area that could be the suspect. It would have been in the last two or three months, possibly a new aerial?
If we knew what it was it would help TW to find a frequency that works for us.
Still no luck in isolating what is causing our interference, what we do know is;
- It generally gets bad from about 3-10pm
- Today Sunday (26/2) it was especially bad from 3pm onwards
- It was fine over half term, no interference
If you have any ideas please get in touch. I don't fully understand the technical ins and outs, but if Thinking Wisp know what it is causing the problems they can perhaps change our frequency.
We are on Chapel Loke, and are having issues too. Thinking Wisp are exploring routing the service from a new repeater, from a different direction. In a month or so, they hope to have this alternative up and running.
