The idiots doing construction work at the junction of School Lane and Station Road where the road has been closed off have obviously broken the water mains. It's tea time and we have no water. The road is like a river. Apparently it will be fixed by 19:30. You useless bunch of .....(edited)..cowboys... We've never had any problems like this before. Sign of more problems to come I suspect. Thanks South Norfolk Council.

New update: not back until 4am now. No water for hours. Nice one builders. Don't suppose you could give a damn coz it ain't gonna cost you a penny is it? If you're listening South Norfolk Council, you need to charge these idiots rent for doing the work and not expect your taxpayers to pay for the work. Inept place to put a development.

I don't know how the damaged water mains affected others, but we had no water all yesterday evening until after going to bed. We could not cook a meal, could not have a cup of tea or coffee, could not have a shower, or clean teeth, could not flush the toilet, could not give the animals fresh water to drink. Not to have this basic necessity is just not acceptable. I heard this inconvenient situation was caused by the developers at the building site opposite the school which is not only an unwanted development, but we now have to put up with living like we are in a ....(edited)..... as a consequence.  This is really not on.

It is an inconvenience and I am opposed to a number of these developments but you do yourself no favours saying we are 'living like we are in a...(edited).... There is a Marks and Spencers a mile down the road. It undermines your argument.

Did you offer to take those without water to the A11 Marks and Spencers garage shop? Thought not.

I'm not putting forward an argument, just stating it as I found it.

To the person recommending the M&S shop,

The M&S food store at the BP garage is a bit too pricey for me, I have to live on a budget. There is no public transport from here to get there, and it is on the dual carriageway. All we wanted was running water is that too much to ask?

I'm sorry to hear this for all those affected.  I guess it explains why our water has been slightly cloudy/fizzy with air bubbles.  What is most troubling is that the developers didn't arrange for and deliver bottled water to all the homes affected. Poor!

I cannot believe people are defending the ...(edited).... comments by stating that M and S is pricey or on a dual carriageway. No I did not offer to take people and frankly if I had to hear their whinging during the 3 minute journey I am pleased!

It is inconvenient, irritating and annoying but seriously can you stand by comments of living like those in the .....(edited)... It undermines those of us with legitimate grievances against the developers.

Charming! I can't believe you are still defending going to the M&S food store, would you suggest that people walk down the dual carriageway, in the dark to reach it? I hope you enjoy your 5 minute journey.

The developer is in the wrong here, not us. He damaged and water main, not us. His actions undermine developers, not ours. You do not have the monopoly on having legitimate grievances against developers.
