A11 northbound between Spooner Row Interchange and Tuttles Lane Interchange: urgent resurfacing works

Dear Local Stakeholder,

I write to inform you that Kier will undertake urgent resurfacing work on the A11 northbound between Spooner Row and Tuttles Lane interchanges tonight, on behalf of Highways England. Recent inspections have identified the need for urgent carriageway maintenance works in this location, for road safety reasons.

We plan to continue this work over the next 10 nights, with working hours of 8pm to 6am, weekdays only, weather permitting. Works will finish on the morning of Saturday 15 December. For the rest of this week, the A11 northbound between Spooner Row Interchange and Browick Interchange will be closed. During next weeks’ work, our closure will extend and a full closure at the A11 northbound between Spooner Row Interchange and Tuttles Lane Interchange will be in place.

Please note that for this programme of works we will start on Thursday’s at 9pm, to allow for higher vehicle numbers on the road due to late night Christmas shopping in Norwich.

We will continue to monitor the condition of the carriageway in the area following these works. This may result in additional works in the New Year to rectify any issues found and ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Diversion route

A clearly signed diversion route will be in place directing traffic through Wymondham along the B1172 London Road/Harts Farm Road, between Spooner Row Interchange and Tuttles Lane Interchange.
