Old Carleton Rode Composting Site

Had a look where this is located - LGC waste Management ltd Double Banks Farm on Old Buckenham Road, Carlton Rode NR16 1NH. I would imagine lorries will come through Spooner Row as seems to be the case with all the others. The Parish Council notes mentions 22 to 44 "traffic" movements per day, I presume by "traffic" they mean lorries. Does anyone know if this has been given planning approval?

Not on the NCC website yet, but let’s say a few things for sure.

There will be more than 44 movements a day, they always under value it for planning, from 7am to 5pm means one lorry every 10-15mins all day, no idea if they mean weekend too, but that wouldn’t surprise me.

Its obvious Carleton Rose PC has told Old Buck PC and already had a meeting so the planning app can say all traffic goes through Spooner Row. This is totally wrong as the site could go either way through villages that don’t want the traffic, Banham Poultry went like this and it’s about time everyone got a fair share.

Maybe our Pc could speak to them and put our views, why can’t they send half one way and half the other ?

This ever-increasing number of HGV's and other large vehicles moving through the centre of the village (on a country lane) is becoming a genuine health and safety risk to residents. This cannot be allowed to go on. With the formation of the new Spooner Row PC next month, perhaps this unhappy situation should be given high priority.
