The bodged, cheap-fix repairs on the A11 at Spooner Row closed off the A11 yesterday. The Spooner Row/A11 gridlock was even mentioned on national radio. When the A11 bypass was built, residents were told they would lay good quality road surface materials, but instead, the stuff they used hasn't performed well and not lasted long term, with the type of surface which makes the traffic sound noisier.
I hear our MP (George Freeman) has just been made a minister of state for transport. Perhaps he can sort out the crappy road surface that was installed (not that long ago) on the A11 'the technology corridor'.
