Makes you laugh, the lorry route in this goes up upgate street, onto the B1113 then through Tacolneston onto the A11, of course as at the moment they don‘t plan to ram more hgvs through spooner row every parish in the area is making comments, if they were all heading this way, they wouldn’t care one bit. This village has enough hgvs, its only fair they get distributed around, plus according to this that is the best hgv route.
Spooner Row is not the best route for yet more HGV's. Please let's not forget that we have the primary school, village hall, recreation ground, level crossing, halt, church, village pub, and residents' homes along this 'HGV route' where there are already existing problems. Spooner Row mustn't be dumped on again.
We were given reassurances that Spooner row would not be used but it is apparently un enforcable until something happens, then it is a fight to have a weight limit installed, and then an even bigger fight to get enforcement.
HGV routes are the equivalent of santa's sleigh sadly
I hope the parish council comments on this and strongly object to the extra lorries. Imagine the impact on the village with household, commercial and industrial waste passing through.
What a cheek from a County Council Member from a different area to push the lorry route onto Spooner Row! I hope our Parish Council and our own County Council Member will have a say about this. What about the road safety problems this will have on our roads and primary school in the village? There was no impact assessment for the site visits and departures via the Spooner Row route, unlike the other suggested and preferred routes.
