Thank you for your post.

Details relating to messages posted on the Spooner Row Message Board can be found on the website http://www.spoonerrow.f2s.com/message_board.htm

Very few posts are removed or edited.

The option for making Anonymous posts will remain as it enables comments to be made that may not be heard elsewhere.  You can also include your own name if you wish.

Occasionally there is a nuisance anonymous poster that may find their messages removed especially if they are naming an individual.

Note, you should receive a Thank You For Posting note at the top of the page as confirmation that your message has been sent successfully.

Whilst annoying at times on balance this is a good practice. People will post without fear of recrimination and can simply back away from aggressive responses.

The moderator has in the past picked me up on some of my more outlandish comments and does a good job in that regard

Whilst my last post was not deleted it was so heavily edited that it might as well of been.

Politeness is not enough. It seems that taking an opposing view to a politician is sufficient to get you struck out by at least one moderator, although Daz was able to get his recent challenge seen.

(Dear Willow Drive Resident,

Thank you for your message.

For the record, no one has been struck off this message board. Your last post was not heavily edited but actually removed with a polite request asking you to contact your councillor directly rather than repeatedly asking the councillor the same questions which he had already answered several times over. Again, I suggest that you engage in a direct dialogue with the district councillor or the parish council for a more comprehensive reply. Reflecting on previous posts, I guess this is what Daz has done.

Is it possible to know who the moderator of the site is? Without this knowledge it is impossible to objectively use the site. the moderator‘s political view, location and status are all important at a time where we are seeing corporations censoring individuals.

This website and forum have been running since 2003 for the community of Spooner Row by local residents. Residents of nearby villages such as Suton, Wattlefield and Morley, may also post on here if their topic is relevant. It is an independent site. There is no corporation involvement, no advertising nor any financial gain. There is no party-political involvement, but local councillors are welcome to post their own comments and provide information from agencies when of local interest.

Over the years it helped provide residents of Spooner Row with a voice when many felt we had little say especially under Wymondham Town Council. Although this website helped campaign for our own parish council, it remains independent - the parish council has its own website. As previously mentioned this site includes the anonymous option and will continue to be moderated.

Currently, one of the most popular topics on this Message Board is Wildlife watching in Spooner Row with over 12,600 viewings.

I agree with Julian.

People should be allowed to voice a concern or an opinion without fear of recrimination.

Although if they feel that strongly about it then i personally believe you should take ownership of it.

Thank you to the moderator of this forum.

I like this message board. It's perfectly fit for purpose unlike some other websites.
