The route and means to allow the off shore power transfer to London and the south east at the expense of the east Anglian countryside has and is causing an enormous political storm. The attached is the response from South Norfolk and is very similar  to other councils response which to be frank is being done on the cheap. The alternative, an off shore power cable down the North sea is feasible but will cost.
