It is with great sadness having been elected as top candidate, thank you !!  and Robert Foster being elected as the 7th that I have to stick with my principles and as promised resign, because I refuse to work with Robert Foster whose toxic influence has been adequately been demonstrated time and time again.

I will of course continue to work with and support the village Hall and as district councillor attend , when I can, Community council meetings to keep you all in the loop

Other matters which I currently do for the council I will continue to do until alternative arrangements are put in place.

There are far better candidates out there who were not elected and IF the community council survives, I have my severe doubts on that ,  I hope they get elected or co opted to replace me

Sorry to see you go, Julian, especially with being elected with the most votes. Thank you for all your hard work on the Community Council.

Congratulations to all candidate. However, It’s a great shame that there has been a resignation already. It is a concern that there are such wide divisions and negative issues within a small council set up to be of benefit to the community.

In life we all have our own opinions and at every level want to influence them on each other, whether this be discussions about what to have for tea with a partner (I didn’t get fish & chips last night😩) or decisions on how to spend tax payers money received via the council tax that we all pay.

How we come to these decisions and the discussions we have should always be positive and respectful, clearly as a community we want to see positive outcomes as a result of the good and honest work of a cohesive and respectful council.

It is also our responsibility as citizens (‘Power to the people’🙋🏼🙋🏼‍♀️) to be engaged beyond election day to guide all members of the council, old and new, with their decisions to benefit the community.

As residents we have no idea at times what is going on, and there has clearly been some very negative activity. I urge all those now taking their seat at the table to reflect carefully about how they represent the community. I mean truly reflect on past and future actions. If you can’t take some time to do this and think you are perfect in your actions then I doubt you really belong on a community council.

Lets see the magnificent 7 rather than the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

To the last post from anonymous your message is the best and most thoughtful I have seen on this message board and I couldn’t agree with your sentiment more.

Best foot forward and I hope those that remain gel as a team.
