Can anyone give an update on the London Road illegal site please? It has been quite a few months now since the 18 month extension and I, and others, would value an update as to the progress in finding a suitable and legal site BEFORE the 18 months is up.

When the illegal site on London Road is finally vacated, I and others would be happy to volunteer to assist in returning it to a green field again and removing all high wooden fences and internal roadway. This would greatly help the financial aspects of the council's removal plan.

 

I note that the Chepore site has significantly expanded. Does the council have any power or authority to prevent breaches in planning. The Planning system seems to either not apply to some or just be optional. If the retrospective planning application is approved will the extra sites have a modern sewerage i.e. tertiary treatment?

When the local population (of the hamlet of Suton) becomes a minority, will we get protected status?

I do hope that something is achieved BEFORE the 18 months is up.

Nothing seems to be changing much at the London Road site. I hope another 18 months extension to vacate is not provided as both the planning permission and the appeal were unsuccessful and this needs to be respected.

The Chepore Lane planning application for more caravans is still pending consideration. I thought there was a lack of adequate drainage for a sewage system on there? I hope the decision-makers make proper consideration of the environmental concerns.

Does any one have an update on the illegal gipsy site on London road?

Do they assume that residents are accepting of the idea if we don't ask questions?

Who should residents actually ask for an update? Community Council? District Councilor?

I think you will need to ask the district councillors, we have two, and keep asking until they engage with adequate answers - they are there to represent the electorate after all. Also the community council may be able to help in getting answers.

Do the District Councilor's actually ever read these posts? Julian Halls used to answer questions and make posts to engage with the residents. Do the current ones care about the issues the voters post?

This is not a formal council website, but a forum run by residents for residents. The one that meets each month in which the public can participate. 

What is happening about the illegal traveller site? Is the planning reference 2020/8033? if so, I can't find it. Can someone provide the link to this please as it says No results found. 

The Appeal hearing, eviction notice and extension of time were ages ago.  Information seems to have disappeared.
