Hi The Village Hall has a bowls club, art club and dance club that meet during the week . There used to be a bingo night which could be resurrected .Maybe if you want to set something up then contact a member of the committee.
Thanks for the reminder about these activities, Andy. They aren't suitable for what was in my mind (thinking maybe more a knit and natter type thing ... shame the library don't host this any more) but great reminder for more active people in the village.
Hi OP. You could start your own activities in the Village Hall , we have the new kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities, a committee room etc. You would just need to book a slot and set it up. Good luck
There are small grants available to help set up community groups or projects like the ones mentioned. The Go For It Grant at South Norfolk Council gives up to £300. https://www.southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk/communities/go-grant
Thank you for this information. Unfortunately setting up a group isn't something I can personally commit to. I was hoping there was an existing group or someone attending an activity in Wymondham/Attleborough that an elderly friend would be able to join in with. Thanks again.
I am not sure how up-to-date this list is but there are Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers at nearby locations, see https://www.norfolkknitters.org.uk/natter.html
