Spooner Row, Suton and Wattlefield Village Hall December up date.
We have introduced LED lighting to the committee room . We have done this to reduce our carbon footprint, improve lighting and reduce our electricity bill. We are now considering introducing LED lighting to the main hall.
The Hatchway doors were fitted to the kitchen, this will provide extra security and give users the facility of noticeboards/ price list notices to the reverse of the doors when opened.
We have had a substantial enquiry from the NHS regarding using the VH for a teaching / therapy facility. We await confirmation but could be a good regular booking. In anticipation of this we will be installing a projector screen ( this would be useful to other hires as well)
There were lots of Christmas parties , craft fairs and School functions booked in December which was an increase on previous years. We have built up a good relationship with Spooner Row school , Friends of SR school, Acorns and local small businesses which bodes well for the future.
The book exchange has seen a few games and toys being left for the use of others, if anyone has any games or toys that others could use then please bring them along.
Finally we hope you liked the Christmas lights outside the Village Hall, we thought having them would brighten up the village for the festive season.
