HELLO THE COMMUNITY OF SPOONER ROW,SUTON & WATTLEFIELD. The village fete is looming up fast. It’s on Sunday 30th June 2 - 5pm. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year so is a very important event. We rely on volunteer committee members, friends of SRS&W Village Hall and villagers for help in setting up, running stalls and supporting us on the day. The set up days are Friday 28th June 5pm onwards and Sunday 30th June 9am onwards, if you can be there then it would be a great help.

We also put out an appeal for donations of prizes for the Raffle,Tombola and Bottle Stalls but to date we have had a very slow response ( but thanks to people who have donated ) PLEASE IF YOU CAN DONATE SOMETHING PLEASE LET ANY COMMITTEE MEMBER KNOW ( donations points are on previous posting )

Remember this is your Village Hall which takes a lot of maintenance due to its age and a lot of administrative input which is all carried out by 10 volunteer committee members. If you can help in anyway then let us know, thank you.

HELLO ALL. JUST AN UPDATE ON THE VILLAGE FETE & DOG SHOW THAT IS TAKING PLACE ON SUNDAY 30TH JUNE 2 - 5PM. AS WELL AS THE DOG SHOW THERE WILL MANY GAMES STALLS, GIN STALL, BBQ, PLANT STALL, RAFFLE, TOMBOLA ,CHILDREN'S PICTURE COMPETITION, ADULTS & CHILDRENS TUG O WAR, CHILDREN’S RACES, CRAFT STALLS ETC ETC.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE PRIZES THAT YOU COULD WIN ON THE DAY.

APOLOGIES, THE EARLIER MESSAGE STATING WE HAD 120 MIXED BOTTLES DONATED SHOULD HAVE READ 120 PRIZES FOR THE TOMBOLA ( ALTHOUGH I NOW UNDERSTAND THIS HAS GONE UP TO 130 ) SORRY TO ALL YOU THIRSTY PEOPLE!

THIS YEARS FETE WAS A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND DULL WEATHER PLUS THE 5PM KICK OFF OF THE ENGLAND GAME SO THIS SHOULD HAVE DENTED THE RESULT OF THE FETE! WE IN FACT BEAT LAST YEARS TOTAL RAISED SO THIS YEARS RESULT WAS £1341.79. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DONATED PRIZES, WHO HELPED RUN STALLS, WHO HELPED PUT UP AND TOOK DOWN EQUIPMENT ETC.ALSO A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THE FETE, THE FOOTFALL WAS BRILLIANT CONSIDERING THE WEATHER. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE WHO WORKED TIRELESSLY FOR MONTHS PUTTING THE FETE TOGETHER. LASTLY A BIG THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE VILLAGERS AND FRIENDS WITHOUT YOU WE WOULD NOT HAVE A VILLAGE HALL. THANK YOU.
