As of this date, the last two months minutes of the Community Council have not been provided to the public. This is of concern. Are we being kept deliberately in the dark about something?
In the Agenda of the September meeting it says the following:
2024/0189 To note .................... complaint to PKF Little John (External Auditor) and to ring fence £15,000 should an investigation be required (£355 /hour)
The dots marked something that has been redacted and not provided to the public. It's blocked out in the Agenda. Why? What is going on here??
Who or what is being audited or complained about? What's happened? I think the public have a right to know.
Also, and MORE troubling. This is going to cost Spooner Row residents £15,000?!?!
Dear Anonymous the reason its redacted is because they mustnt legally produce the name ..and the reason that theres to be an internal audit is to prove theres no corruption or any backhanders over personal salary increases..Well good luck with that one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no problem with the clerk receiving a salary increase as the council workload has significantly increased due to a lack of councillors around to participate. Thank goodness the clerk is prepared to take on the extra responsibilities.

I thought it was only members of the public who were omitted from the Council's Agendas and Minutes due to data protection. Councillors can be named otherwise their contact names and details would not be allowed on websites etc. They are elected to represent the public and can appear on Council documents.
