Important roadworks information
A11 northbound between Attleborough and Spooner Row – resurfacing
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing work on the A11 between Attleborough and Spooner Row. Once complete, drivers will benefit from the A11 remaining in a safe and serviceable condition.
We plan to complete this work overnight on Thursday 14 May 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A11 southbound between Attleborough and Spooner Row, and divert traffic as detailed below:
Attleborough to Spooner Row:
·At the roundabout, take 3rd exit on to London Road towards Attleborough.
·Stay on this road as it changes to High Street, Exchange Street, and Church Street.
·At the junction turn left onto B1077.
·When you reach the A11entry slip, turn left onto Norwich Road. Follow this road as it becomes London Road.
·At the roundabout take 1st left and then first right onto Station Road.
·At the roundabout rejoin A11 either northbound or southbound
West Carr Road
·Travel back along West Carr Road and then take the 1st right at junction turn left onto Wroo Rd to London Road Roundabout.
·And then follow main diversion above.
Queens Rd
Travel back towards Attleborough until you reach Church St, and then follow main diversion

Follow main diversion
Please note there will be no access for emergency vehicles through the works.
