Yes, I completely agree. I think the village would benefit from having flashing speed sensors (like Bunwell and Attlebrough)especially coming into the village from the Bunwell Road where the speed limits and chicane seem to be routinely ignored, especially by bikes. The higher volume of traffic, rough road surfaces and speed have all contributed to increased traffic noise in what was once a very peaceful village. The sensor cameras are an issue that our new LibDem parish councillor could usefully take up - we have to hope that he reads the forum to keep abreast of issues in the village?

hi guys,no flashing signs or the "newish" 30 limit sign has or will stop the "numptys" that use our village as a rat run to cut through the lanes.the thing we need to put in place is to have our main road made into a "quiet lane" ... just like most of the lanes around our village,...hence why our village has got worse with lorries vans cars and bikes.even since the speed limit went to 30 this has not slowed the traffic down AT ALL .most idiots are doing 40 to 70 miles an hour PLUS.in the 5 years we have lived on the main road here at spooner row the traffic has quadrupled. that is a hell of alot of traffic through...just waiting for an accident to happen.....

If we witness speeding vehicles we should make a note of the number plates and report it to the Police - if they receive sufficent reports from villagers perhaps they will take action. Also, if any of the vehicles are liveried we should also phone the company and alert the managing director(s) to the lawlessness of their employees.

i made several a4 sheets of passing speeding lorries cars and bikes with date and times and reg numbers...only to be told by the police it doesnt count unless they are caught by a speed gun!! for which they then sat in full view by school road turning with a speedgun at not a very busy time at all...and stopped nobody..surprise surprise...as they were in full view chatting to each other they wouldnt would they..the numptys..x
