hi there ive been watching today a man calculating the speed of the drivers thru our village! i do hope they dont go by these as he was more visible than the railway haha and ALL lorries vans mopeds cars etc all amazingly slowed down...to 16 miles per hour alot of them!!...this is ridiculous as most "fly" over the railway line...ALOT DOING UP TO 70 MILES AN HOUR OR MORE....we have seen so many "grounded" vehicles having to be towed away you would not believe!! and sooo many stopping to pick up their "exhausts" its become a joke....or not... you will never stop speeding thru this village until you "stop" it being a rat run for all the lorry and van businesses around (which will get soo much worse with the new lorry business nearby now!!!)and being a thru road for people cutting corners... if only those people realised one day... THEY WILL KILL A CHILD OR ADULT THE WAY THEY IRRESPONSIBLY DRIVE THRU HERE.... think on people think on.........................................................................................
the new lorry park by the bestthorpe roundabout.. bloody dangerous place to have the opening to it too, a lorry came belting out of there the other day and i was coming off the a11.. idiot place to have an opening to a lorry business of all things, and i noticed the lorries were removing dirt from there and it was all over the roads too on tuesday.... another accident waiting to happen.......
When they have finished building the site, there won't be much traffic on or off there for the next 5 years. They are going to keep about 5 gritters there. Don't know what will happen after that. I agree about having the entrance on the roundabout, but there was nowhere else for them to have it or it would have been too close to the house next door and there has to be a bank there to cut down noise nuisance. All drivers seems to be more reckless at this time of year I don't know why. I think they are dreaming of BBQ's and girls in bikinis. Driving standards always seem to go down in the summer. Things could be worse locally, but I agree that people should cut their speed and pay more attention. I travel on the A11 every day and there is always someone tailgating me when I am in the fast lane overtaking the slow moving traffic. When they get past they speed off and must be doing almost 90. They seem to think they are invincible!
