Has anyone missed their un-neutered tabby tom cat? He spends most of his time with us, but sometimes stays away for a few days, so he may just go roaming and end up with us.  He has access to food here, so may only come when his owners are out/away.  We are happy to adopt him, but need to know that he doesn't already belong to someone. He looks fairly young 1-3 years old. We have pictures of him, so if you think he is yours, please ask and we will upload the pictures.  He is very friendly now he is getting to know us.
Thank you.

Seems to be the year for 'stray' cats in the village.  I've not heard of anyone missing a tabby but if you do take him in it's worth getting the vets to scan him for a microchip just in case, although if he's unneutered he probably doesn't have a home.

If he's been 'living rough' he will definitely need flea and worm treatments as well as vaccinating and neutering asap.  Also ask the vet to test him for FIV (feline 'aids') and FELV (feline leukaemia) so you know he's healthy.

Good luck.  I haven't seen the little black male stray that was visiting me for weeks and weeks now so I fear the worst.

Yes we will do that, but if we take him will have him neutered and don't want to do that if he does belong to someone. We have she cats and randy toms can hurt them sometimes even if they're spayed, so don't want to leave it too long.

Our tabbies are all accounted for but we do have a black cat (with white markings on his/her face and a streak of white that runs down his chest, he has a slim body and quite a large head!) that visits us in Chapel Road.

He is very timid and runs away from us but dosn't mind clearing our own cats food bowls.

Anyone recognise the description and know if he is a stray?
