According to the EDP today, Feb 16th 2011 the "public meeting arranged by Attleborough Town Council has been cancelled. Cllrs had organised the meeting which was due to be held tomorrow evening at the Connaught Hall , to discuss their response to the Attleborough annd Snetterton Heath Area Action Plan consultation." Thank you Diana Hockaday
It seems that Breckland Council doesn't like sending out representatives to discuss their plans - first the Public Meeting at Morley village hall, now this one.
Breckland Council have a duty to let council tax payers in Attleborough have an opportunity to discuss what they plan to do with their money. Residents of Morley, Spooner Row and Suton should also be involved as they are all directly affected. Councils work FOR US and they are supposed to be accountable and not hide away in their nice warm, air conditioned offices writing more stupid policies that only benefit the Council and not us.
