Peter it's such a shame. Perhaps a little bit more notice as that was the reason I didn't book a table. It takes a while to sort out stuff and price it all, especially if you don't have a lot of spare time. I would book a table if you were to arrange another sale with perhaps a months notice. How much would it have cost to book a table? Don't give up.
