At last nights Wymondham Town Council Planning Meeting the committee decided unanimously to refuse the application at Green Field Farm, Chepore Lane, Suton to change the use of the land from agriculture to residentail use for the siting of 6 additionl pitches.
As residents are aware this application will now be determined by South Norfolk Council (SNC) taking National Planning legislation and residents and the Town Council'c comments into consideration.
I understand that this application will not go the SNC July Planning Meeting - date to be announced.
I also understand that the Planning Meetings are now called Development Management Committees and the dates of future meetings are August 15th, September 12th, October 17th, November 7th, December 5th, Jan 9th - all meetings starting at 1.00pm at South Norfolk House, Swan Lane Long Stratton.NR15 2XE
There is leaflet available from SNC explaining how residents can comment on planning applications at SNC planning meetings.
(Residents did comment at the Wymondham meeting that they were experiencing a few problems with the SNC Planning Explorer site)
Thank you to all those residents who contacted Cllr Turner and myself
I'm sure a lot more caravans and hardcore will arrive in the meantime. There is a lot there now. I'm sure the new occupants know they have nothing to fear from a legal planning process here in south norfolk. Why oh why can't South Norfolk just pronounce on this application now. its not any old application for a house extension. Presumably they intend to sit on their hands over summer and then declare it an illegal or tolerated site anyway..and do nothing..yet again. They must know the misery and distress this issue causes....if they delay the decision date, then it is clearly a deliberate ploy on the planners part to allow an illegal site to develop.
