I have been monitoring the South Norfolk website regarding the planning application for houses on Bunwell Road and Chapel Road. I have to say, that there is a disappointingly low number of objections.

Am I missing something?

The above message is correct - there are few objections to these developments in Chapel Road and Bunwell Road  on the South Norfolk Council's website.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to place the information on the Home Page as you usually do, giving the link.    That may be more eye catching.

Many thanks

Details are now on the Home Page and under Local Proposals. Webstation

Do you really think that those at South Norfolk will care about how many objections there are or what the objections say? Localism and democracy do not exist around here any more. Councillors will grant planning permission for big developments that are not in their own back yard, like Chepore Lane.  It would be interesting to see how many of the new developments in South Norfolk will actually be going ahead on the door steps of District Councillors.

Speaking to villagers, half the people didn't know that the application was suddenly live again . How would they? (its been messed about with so many times) and other people think they have already objected when it was in the local development framework and that it was subsequently rejected (both being true for the bunwell road site)

The confusion and complexity (especially bolting two sites together in one application) are deliberate. You'll see how much time and effort is going into this by the planning authority and the developer compared to other applications on there. Many I think rightly see it as a done deal behind closed doors in long stratton and that they are powerless to stop it. Hope the money makes them all happy.

Have the planners put the standard white planning notices at the two sites?  When driving past, I haven't noticed any.
