I have been observing this message forum for some time now and whilst it is a great platform to communicate local issues, it seems to have become a place for anonymous people to just whinge, whine and moan about things without actually doing anything......
It is unfortunate that some wish to hide behind behind anonimity but perhaps they are genuinely scared that if they are totally open they may be the subject of persecution.
There are some very powerful people around who often as not do not like what is being said, because it might stop saya profitable planning application and equally true there are some people around who just wish to mischief make and sometimes peddle their own clearly biased viewpoint, so it is trade off.
If someone wants to whinge then it is far better that they do so, if the problem or issue can be addressed. It avoids any unpleasant repercussions as one is never quite sure who said what.
It is also an information forum, so I don't quite get the point that you are making

Richard, isn't this message of yours a whinge and a moan?
do you seriously think anyone gives a monkeys about something you say on a village notice board? (With the exception of comments which are made in contravention of a law, in which case the lack of your name at the top will add appriximately 10 minutes to the police investigation)
i would like to see forced user names and immediate posting enabled. you can have any name you like, but at least you could have direct responses or message threads where responses could be supported or challenged. It works perfectley well in millions of other notice boards, no reason why it wouldn't work here.
regards, Not Richard
(Dear Not Richard, thank you for your comment. This is a moderated message board and is run by local volunteers. It continues to be popular and serves the needs of the village quite adequately. Webstation)
