In case you are unaware the Tour of Britain cycle race will be coming through Spooner row from Wymondham on its way to Attleborough. This is the opposite direction to the last time !
Exact timings are unclear ( obviously) but expect traffic disruption as previously with the road closed with support vehicles and many many Police motor cycle outriders which last time kept it interesting
Details are a bit sparce at present but I will update when we get notified In the meantime if you wish to look at itinerary please see the link
Longest leg of the race Starts in Fakenham at 1000, then Norwich, Wymondham , Spooner row and Attleborough.
One of the sites talks about ETA 's but again no details yet but lunchtime looks dodgy The riders will probably all go through in about 10 mins but road closed ahead and behind for support vehicles and BIG Police precense so I guess at least 40 mins closure.
Just letting you know so please no shooting of the messenger
ETA for Spooner row lead cars is 1142 based on average speed but could be slightly earlier and up to 20 mins later depending on headwinds etc BUT as for last time there will be outrider Police motor bikes in advance and support vehicles running within the riders and at the back. So whole affair could easily be 30 - 40 mins The road will be closed unless there is an emergency of some sort but given the large number of Police outriders around last time there will be more than enough around to manage the situation.
Message is - if you need to get somewhere leave early
