Norfolk County Council Elections will be held in May. Spooner Row is in Forehoe Ward (not Wymondham). NCC Highways is one of the departments that the County Council is responsible for.
With the elections soon arriving, it would be a good opportunity to make contact with your County Councillor to try to get something done about the HGV route running through the centre of the village, or highlight any other highway safety issues you might have.
What is Norfolk County Council doing about Newall Construction Ltd (or whatever it calls itself these days)? This company continues to do whatever it likes whenever it likes with failed permission and a failed appeal.

Newalls are actually in Besthorpe so outside Colin's boundary but he could of course speak to the Councillor concerned as the traffic comes through the village so please do not go in all guns blazing if you were thinking of contacting him about this, but I agree and an element of extracting the urine going on here.
My poll card came today. Not sure who to vote for. Spooner Row should be part of Wymondham but it looks like it is still separated from the rest of the parish. Perhaps we should become our own parish?
Cromwells ward , where we are is in Forehoe Division of NCC whereas the rest of Wymondham parish comes under Wymondham Division , which is the other 4 wards. Our County Councillor at this time is Colin Foulger but he will be opposed at the election but quite how actively is unknown at this stage as are the candidates although nominations close early next week.
I am standing against Joe Mooney in Wymondham Town plus others so even if you wanted to vote for me you cannot do so ! assuming you live in Cromwells that is.
As regard becoming our own Parish see the other post of today on Governance matters and yes it is a confusing , but I am just the messenger here so no shooting please. Our current electoral boundaries are a complete mess with a different boundary for Parliament, a different boundary for Town and district and a different boundary for County. This is the current arrangement but will be even more confused when Town and District boundaries change as proposed but not by a great deal.
