I understand that the water supply is now restored. But unfortunately, all weekend there has been water pouring down Station Road. Hundreds (or maybe thousands ) of litres of water is being lost, & not 1 workman to be seen. Surely someone knows how to fix the problem, it is obvious that the developer is not having to pay, by meter, for all this wastage.
There have been flooding problems on that part of the road for some years, near the level crossing. The drains are not functioning properly and the rainwater doesn't run down to the river at the bottom of Station Road like it should.
....... Those in support of constantly imposed housing developments would like residents to say: -- never mind, so what, the developers can do whatever they want. Residents must keep quiet, if not, call them all whingers. Sorry to disappoint you.
The flooding near the level crossing is due to Network Rail concreting over the drain outlet when they put in level crossing 4 years ago !! There should be work in progress in June after battling for 4 years .
