Why has Wymondham's results been put up first when we are not part of it?We only need to know about Forehoe (whatever that means). Spooner Row is remote from Wymondham .
Spooner row is part of Wymondham Parish and it is Wymondham set precept rates that we all pay for the massive number of street lamps , the Library in the village, the overcrowded school, the wonderful Broadband speeds, the footpaths along Queens street, and the incredible regular public transport we have, to say nothing of all of those wonderful new homes being built, which no one can afford .
Errrrr ' I might have got that wrong Dad ', as Dick Emery would say , but not the precept bit or the Parish bit
i have little confidence in local elected councillors. What good do they do for the community they are supposed to represent? I remember about is two years ago when district councillor Jack Hornby was looking to be elected he pledged to stop speculative house building, yet he has actively not done this and has even done the opposite and supported development. recently he even sent an email to a planning committee meeting urging them to do so as well in their final decision giving his full support. local councillors in power round here just think about themselves and their party politics, are disappointing and don't serve our interests, just they own.
i was told that the county council look after roads. i don't think much of their effort as there are pot holes everywhere even though the council tax has increased.
I hope that all the 'dissatisfied' folk on this comment bar actually voted. I find the turnout numbers appalling! If you don't vote you lose the right to complain in my opinion.
I can't say that I am happy with the result, but at least I did my bit to stake a claim to moan.
I thought this site had a policy that a poster had to give a name if they make reference to a councillor by name. It appears to be one law for some and another law for the rest. Good on Jack Hornby for supporting a house that is required for a member of a local Spooner Row Family.
(Thank you for your post. A poster will need to include their name for personal party political comments when using this site. This is to reduce the pre-election fighting between parties being published on here. Some flexibility needs to be made so that posts such as the local election results followed by comments of praise or disappointment about the winners can still be included. Webstation)

Not to vote can be considered a protest. It is interesting that you consider people voicing their opinions as "a moan". Who would want to vote in the current local circumstances anyway?

Tell that to the local person on Top common who had their new house application recently refused. No support from Jack Hornby there. What about his support for the rest of Spooner Row residents who voted for him and who don't want all this out of control local development - does he support them with following through on his election promises over the last two years? Very disappointing.
The county council elections were nearly two weeks ago, I think you are obsessing over this a bit. I am more concerned that the district councillor has not followed through on his election promises, adversely affecting a number of people.
