For the past week there has been yet another water leak on Bunwell road. I have waited this long to post this as the last time I reported a leak to the men working on site, I was told it had nothing to do with me, and they carried on filling in the ditch. Not very helpful to say the least!
I am at a loss to guess what will be the next problem the building site creates; I am just thankful that there is no mains gas supply on the site. That would have been a disaster waiting to happen.
Re the water leak, it seems the developers do damage & fail to restore whenever possible. The Hill Road sign has not been repaired/replaced; the grassy triangle that was sown with wild flowers has not been re,instated. This firm is certainly one to avoid if building work is required.
So many complaints from one small site should ring alarm bells.
How rude to be told by the workmen that it is nothing to do with you. You only live next to it, that's all!
Water leaks impact on household water pressures and there is a long-standing flood problem on there as well. I hope that ditch they were filling in was not a drainage ditch.
I see that the ditch is still overflowing into the road; that will be downright dangerous when it freezes this weekend, it's already halfway across the 'outbound' lane.
When is the developer going to take on some housekeeping responsibility and get this mess of a site sorted out?
If a farmer leaves mud on the road and there is an accident, then, in law, it's the farmer who is legally liable for injuries sustained, I don't see the difference in that scenario and allowing water onto the highway.
