Subject: River Yare (Upper) and River Tiffey Maintenance FY 18/19

Dear Council Clerk,

We are contacting you with information on our maintenance work on the rivers and defences in your area. This covers the planned activities for the 18/19 financial year.

You can find a description of the work we are doing and where this will take place in the factsheet attached. We hope you find this useful and that you can place the factsheet prominently in your community.

The fact sheet is not attached and we are listed under the river Tiffey !! but for anyone interested please contact EA

All our planned activities and updates to them will be published on www.gov.uk and can be found by searching for “river and coastal maintenance programmes”.

If you would like this information in a different format, suggest improvements to the factsheets, or wish to comment about the work we are doing in your area please contact us at apnorfolk@environment-agency.gov.uk or 020302 55460.

 Yours faithfully,

Thanks, Julian.

Is the factsheet not attached because the Environment Agency didn't supply it or is it WTC who is not passing it on?

I have looked on the gov.uk and EA websites and unable to find the planned activities for 18/19. It would be good to have the factsheet prominently available as suggested due to all the flood issues in Spooner Row. The EA won't be able to stop the flooding caused by new developments as they don't even get to comment on planning applications, it is now all done in-house at SNC.

Nothing so sinister just my in ability to attach a PDF which to be frank was so vague as to be useless but I will forward the whole e mail to admin who can probably , being better than I,  post and attach

Julian

Two men from the EA walked the river from Spooner Row to Wymondham some 6 weeks ago.  A second pair started from the Wymondham end and the van to collect them was parked just past the automatic crossing at Suton Lane.
