We watched helplessly in the early hours of Sunday morning as a massive fire took hold at the livery stables at Providence Farm. Countless fire tenders were there trying to bring it under control.
I came across 2 fire engines at the junction of Queen's St and Top Common at 8am this morning when walking the dog.
The fire crews were finishing up and when I asked about the pigs, the fire officer I spoke to replied that it was straw stored in one of the barns that had caught and that the damage to the barn was "serious".
