This just goes to show that Local Plans are more than about building lots of new houses.  The state of the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital is a disgrace and it is under special measures.  There are major problems including a lack of infection control, the emergency department is not big enough and not fit for purpose and a lack of hospital beds etc. This is one of the press stories:  http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/health/nnuh-special-measures-1-5568603

Wouldn't it make more sense if fewer new houses were built until a time when the hospital has expanded to cope with the patient numbers and safety improvements have been made? Then it would be fit to cope with a fast-growing Norfolk population? What are the developers doing to contribute to help the hospital as part of infrastructure improvements alongside housing developments?

This is a very good point, however, developers don't care two hoots for the community, environment or infrastructure. All they want to do is cash in on weak councils and the more I see some of the ridiculous planning approvals, the more suspicious I become about what motivates these....
