For all School Lane residents, I have been in touch with South Norfolk Council, and they have advised that our recycling bin (Green) that wasn't able to be collected last week due to the road works, should be collected today, or more likely tomorrow (Friday 10th August). All roadworks have ceased now on School lane so he has assured me that everything will return to normal from next week.
Thanks, Lara for that information - I hope they follow through. I rang SNC last Thursday (2nd Aug) and was told that there would be a collection on that day with a smaller lorry, which didn't materialize. They were aware of the roadworks and I told them that agricultural vehicles were still able to drive down School Lane so their lorry should be okay. I contacted our District Cllr, Jack Hornby at the beginning of this week and he hasn't answered or even acknowledged my email. The last green bin collection was 18th July.
Jack Hornby has a (paid) job to respond to his constituents concerns. He needs to get some (re)training. https://www.local.gov.uk/our-support/guidance-and-resources/councillors-guide-201718/councillors-role
