I live on Queens St and I wondered if anyone in the village has natural gas, where they live if they do and who you should contact to get a supply put on. I did believe it hadn’t reached here yet but have heard this might not be the case

many thanks

I have it in Chapel Loke But I’m not sure the rest of the houses do.

Heating oil in School Lane. There is a ground level gas marker at the top of Station Road by the A11 I observed in the summer though.

We have a gas supply at our house on Chapel Road but I know some have oil, it does seem a bit random who has it and who doesn't...

For a village that has a high pressure arterial gas main running so close it is surprising that only limited areas of Spooner Row have domestic natural gas.

My parents were instrumental in bringing natural gas to Chapel Road in 1984.  A special order regulator was required to lower the mains pressure to that of domestic supply.  Thankfully a couple of neighbours joined the project and shared the cost.

I do know that a domestic gas main runs down Station Road, on the pavement side but as for Queens Street I have no idea.

Cadent are responsible for gas supply in our region.  They can be contacted on 0800 0745 788.

Another option would be to ask Russell at the pub and then knock on a few doors and speak to your neigbours as you walk back.
