Congratulations to the winners. I see that Wymondham Town Council now has a majority of Lib Dems. Great stuff.

A piece of local history has just been made - our first Spooner Row, Suton and Wattlefield parish council.

Now that we have an elected council, it is time for everyone to start engaging with those elected to tell them what your priorities are for the council.  While we get up and running please use the ‘Positive Vision of the Future’ message thread to tell us what you want.

Dear All , and I do mean all, thank you for voting yesterday and with a turn out of 43% that was much higher than normal.

Thank you to those who did vote for me and for those that did not, please be assured I will do everything in my power to take any matters or issues you have with as much vigour and concern as I can

Can I do a minor corection as the number of Tory badged councillors on WTC is 8 , so still in majority with 6 in other parties ( 5 Lib Dem ) as the total is now 14 councillors

Like the new SRCC I hope the town council will morph into an organisation that works for the good of the town and not be party politics dominated

Thank you once again  Julian

I also wish to add my thanks to those that voted.

Full details of the first meeting of our Community Council will be confirmed shortly but be warned, this will be somewhat a procedural affair.  It is hoped that a “proper” meeting to consider substantive issues can be agreed for the end of this month - all are welcome.

It looks like Wymondham Town Council are playing Party Politics again - see the Mercury news article.  Thank goodness Spooner Row is away from all that with its new community parish.
