Hi

I am part of a group who pre-covid regularly played five-a-side football at Wensum Lodge in Norwich, near the football ground.

After a 15 month break we are starting again next week.

We could do with a handful of new regular players, so if you would like to play and can play most weeks then let me know.

Kick off will be 5:45 on Thursday's, all ages, sexes and abilities welcome. (Our youngest player is about 14 and the oldest is mid 50s).

The sides are mixed up each week, the games are competitive but always played with good humour. They are a friendly bunch.

Any chance of running five-a-side football at Spooner Row playing field? It would be fantastic to see some sporting fun brought back to the village green.

Talking to Rob Foster today, goals and a marked-out five-a-side pitch should be coming to the playing field very soon.

So if there is enough interest we could get something off the ground.

Excellent news. Great to know that more activity is being organised on the playing field as it has been neglected for far too long.We are so lucky to have this community resource with its own park car.
