Do the bats on playingfield table tennis table keep disappearing as I noticed ,yet again ,they have been replaced. It would be a shame if they have been taken !
I only commented the other day how pleased I was that there were still bats and balls there. I presumed they were the originals. It would be a shame if that were not the case.
The green bats were the originals supplied with the table and lasted a lot longer than expected.The level of use of this new play equipment has greatly exceeded expectations.Yes, one did disappear after several weeks but the other was removed as it was worn out, hence the new red and black bats currently in use.
Part of the original proposal to install a table was also to promote table tennis to those in our community. With this in mind and expecting the odd bat to disappear, we bought more bats. A good supply of table tennis bats has been left with the school and a decent number distributed to children within the village. I like to think that this policy has also contributed to those bats on the table staying put!
