The Community Council has this week installed 2 picnic benches up on the playing field, with the larger bench designed to be disability friendly.
With the earlier installation of the table tennis table and football goals bringing more people into this community green space, it was thought that the provision of 2 more picnic tables would tempt residents and visitors to stay a little longer. The benches may be moved to an area of greatest need within the playing field but must remain on grass. Thank you to Cllr Bernard Mansell for taking the lead and delivering this project.
Excellent! A great place to have a picnic or just a sit down for a chat with friends and family. Our public open space is a much-cherished amenity and may it continue to be so.
