I was away for a few days at the beginning of the month and on my return, realised that all the street lights near Gurney Reeve (Station Road/London Road) have been switched off.
I reported it on the 7.10
received a reply on 11.10 with a map and a request to pinpoint which ones are off?
My reply was all of them.
The reply I received was that because I hadnt specified which (I said all) they would send out a scout to check.
I have heard nothing else and the lights still aren’t on. I wrote again yesterday but as yet, no reply.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Its a dangerous junction at the best of times. The London Road is absolutely stacked with overnight traffic at the moment because of road closures and when the clocks change, it will be a dark junction on a dark morning. My experience on that junction is that the numerous users who don’t know the area, look at the street furniture and presume it’s 30. The road signs are really poor.
It really is concerning. I presume the junction is well lit because it was deemed a tricky area in previous times.
if anyone else wants to report it then I would appreciate it.
It is a dangerous junction especially with numerous HGVs. As you have already contacted them and made them aware, any problems will be down to the authorities.
